Hiya. First time poster but been using this site for years!

Was in Crawley, West Sussex this morning. Quite alot of stock left in there including the No7 big box sets and some toys. No S&G's though.

Was in Horsham, West Sussex last week and the whole of the upstairs main floor was packed to bursting point with xmas stock so thats where I'm heading on Weds! They were bringing more shelving and stock out when I was there.

    Mel

    Welcome Mel:j

Thanks for the info, was planning on going to Crawley on Wed but think I will head for Horsham instead!!

    C u there.....

just to let people in leeds know, yesterday I went to Birstall, Crown Point and White Rose Boots.......Birstall had practically no stuff what so ever....I would estimate about 20 items max...all battered and bruised! Crown point had a bit more, a couple of short aisles.....but nothing really interesting at all....mostly the lavender/rose (old peoples :p) stuff.....and white rose was again a bit more....still not much at all but seemed to have slightly more variety........I will be heading to WR on weds...unless someone else can suggest somewhere better....still havent checked kirkstall although a few days ago someone said they had nothing.....seems Leeds people arent gonna get many bargains :(
just to update this I went to kirkstal today....they had one (double) row but nothing decent or in good condition....looks like a 2nd hand jumble sale  Also today I went to Meadowhall boots and they had loads!! I counted 10 (double) rows stocked full of stuff in gread condition....I am just wondering if its worth the petrol and time going down there....and if there will be many bargains to be had :j
I'm going to try my luck at the Albion Street Store, which is where I've gone for the last 2 years, in the hope that they too have a 'magic storeroom' !!
I try to avoid the city centre.....parking is pretty expensive and I plan on getting too much to bring home on the bus :rotfl:

Damn I was at Liverpool street this morning but I was rather hungover and forgot to go into Boots.
I was in one of the Boots on Oxford street (going towards Marble Arch) and that had nothing as far as I could see, but I was more consumed with my anger at all the SA ignoring me even though I really needed help choosing some foundation. Well, it saved me money not buying any.

Boots in Mordon had nothing at all (though that is the smallest Boots I have ever been in) and I checked out Tooting Broadway. This had nothing at all either even though last year they had lots for weeks.

Last week, I went to Boots in Manchester on Tuesday ready to save myself a fortune. I waited at the glass doors on the first floor - the excitement in the crowd was evident - people were dressed for the ocassion - running shoes, bum bags, water bottles and umbrellas to carve a path through the crowds. Time was ticking on, and - I was almost hyperventilating with the the anticipation.
Anyhow, the doors downstairs had been opened and lots of happy shoppers poured up the escalators like rats out of a hole - eager to spend quality time looking for thoughtful Christmas gifts for Aunty Flo and Uncle Bert They grabbed baskets and started to fill them up with fruit shaped soaps (only at Christmas) and short dated short bread - yum yum - well it is only 50p. We were still outside with our twitching noses pressed up against the glass - ' oh please let us in, before all the Brut gift sets sell out' we pleaded. Then a funny thing happened, the rampaging rats, sorry shoppers stopped and then began to look quizically at each other - and then even more bizarre they started to throw things back on the shelf. By the time we were let in the poor shop lady girl was cornered by people a-weeping and a-wailin because they had taken time off work to spend time really matching the gift to the relative - pity the poor person who got the banana shaped soap or the handy to have, but never to use, combined compass, corkscrew and golf tee set - you can get drunk on the golf course and still find your way out of the bunker.
Oh how we laughed and rolled about with mirth - I got up 30 minutes earlier to get there!Anyhow, I have it on pretty reliable authority from 2 sources that the sale starts tomorrow - Tuesday19th
Happy Hunting and keep away from the Banana soap
