Having done a reccy today, I'm pretty excited about Wednesday :D. I need some help though - I'm looking for perfume sets to put away for my nieces birthdays etc. They are 9,10 and 11. Kind of past the Hello Kitty and HSM stage.

I'm going to try to get a Lee Stafford Pink Passion set, as I love the smell of this (its like pink grapefruit), and its great value at 75% off. I've never tried the Morgan Love Love, or Miss by Miss Sixty. Would both of these be suitable for tweeners?

Just been to Norwich which is FULL of 1/2 price stuff. In fact it doesn't even look as if Xmas happened yet! I can't believe it as other boots I've been in have virtually nothing left! Wished I lived a bit nearer so I could pop in if/when 75% happens.....
Always on the hunt for a bargain.
  • The Scarborough store has loads of stuff left.

any perfume will do, as everyones tastes are different. you could buy them the Lee Stafford set because you love the fragrance, but they could hate it, so no matter what you buy, perfume will be perfume to girls that age

however, i would think that girls that age, would still like Hello Kitty, HSM, and Hannah Montana perfumes, as they are brands they recognise - maybe Britney or Christina ones might be a good choice, as at least they are names they know, and are proper grown up perfumes

Thanks to everyone who let me know of stock of the No. 7 Ultimate Collection in Somerset and Bristol yesterday evening. I finally managed to get one today in my local store at Taunton. Checked out the shelves at the bottom of the store and then went to look at the shelves in the middle of the store and no Ultimate Collection, went back to look at the shelves at the bottom of the store again and right next to the No. 7 Indulgent Bathing Sets DH and I had been looking at just a few minutes earlier there was just one Ultimate Collection needless to say I grabbed it and made off to the till with it. Paid with points so essentially free.

Lots of sale stock in Taunton, three long shelves at the top or bottom of the store (depends which way you look at it) and five shorter shelves in the middle of the store where the men's sets and toys used to be all totally packed with stuff.

    There were

Gok - Hey Georgeous, Weekend Away, Try and Enjoy

No. 7 - Bodycare Collection, Indulgent Bathing, Make Up Brush Set, Cosmetic Case, Evening Bag, Mini Accessories Set

Natural Collection - Toiletry Bags, Shopper Bags

    Extracts - Toiletries Bag

FCUK - Cosmetic Bags + 1 Overnight Bag

Chilli Pepper - Bag, Evening Collection, Body Butter Sets

    Royal Jelly Bags

Loads of Lavender/Rose/Magnolia Sets and plenty of other stuff but there was just too much there to remember it all

I would but the Morgan Love Love as my 13 year daughter loves this, she bought it with her Xmas money at 50% off and wants more when its 75% off, it does smell nice, dont know what the Miss Sixty smells like:D

DH will be in Leeds on Wednesday staying in the city centre at Neville Street: which branch should he aim at? he doesn't know Leeds at all.

He has decided in his stubborn way that he is going to go to the sale (bless, :o) but please don't worry, I want some odds & ends for the present box, I'm not sending him on a mission to buy your No7, Gok etc :rotfl:!
The main store in Leeds city centre is on Albion Street, not far from the train station haven't been in AGES so couldn't tell you what stock's like but it's a big store over 2 floors. HTH!

I have an 11 year old daughter, and she loves the Harajuku Lovers perfumes.

Since no one has reported back yet, it looks like the suspicions a few people had that the sale would start today were unfounded?

:o That would have been me getting over-excited about SA behaviour in Sunderland yesterday - mind you, I said I was no Miss Marple!! With hindsight I suppose their 'shifty' shenanigans was actually them gearing up for the last busy weekend at 50% off, in hope of doing some serious sale stock shifting?!?!

    Sorry Folks! :o

As of about 09:30 this morning in the Bridges there was still loads of sale stuff, but all the No. 7 Ultimate sets were seemingly gone since yesterday.

Extra stuff I noticed today included:
    • Emma Bridgewater stationery and travel gifts.
    • Loads of Thomas hottie botties.
    • Loads of FCUK travel bag gifts - looked like men's sporty stuff.
    • One lovely big black travel bag with ladies FCUK smellies
    • Quite a few Star Trek travel gifts
    • Loads of Botanics gifts
    • Loads of Royal jelly black and gold washbag gifts
    • Loads of Fresh gifts
    • Nice jewellery rolls, French manicures and travel clock gifts
    • The £15 Gok set
Ouch - that hurt my baby brain remembering that lot - wouldn't do very well on the Generation Game!

Sadly a lot of ladies of a certain age were filling their boots this morning at 50% off - fingers crossed that gets rid of the Lavender sets ;)

Back on the starting blocks for 75% off next week then!

Maybe I should have added, my daughter is also nearly 9, and maybe HSM would be acceptable, but she thinks Hello Kitty is too young for her, she also likes my Lee Stafford Pink Passion, and the Harijuku lovers, and strangely the So! stuff as well (which I think stinks to high heaven :rotfl::rotfl:). So maybe you're right, anything will do!
