just ordered the hat box but doubt i'll get it as they've been sold out for weeks but lets wait and see.

Years ago I remember it started on 16th as was my dads birthday, so was always in town around that time looking for his pressie. But never remember it starting on a saturday. Definitely worth a trip tomorrow just in case.

The Retford Boots is diddy, with a very small sale section, but this morning they still had several of the big Gok sets, also several of a Bobbypin make-up set I hadn't seen before, originally £16.

But just yesterday I bought the s&g mist and match online. You'll still hear the odd tale of someone finding one, I'm sure, but it's not worth hunting everywhere. It's definitely worth having a look if you go into a store though. Some people have even mentioned returning s&g (gasp!) and if the staff don't grab those, some Bootser will find it on the shelf!
