Boots after-Christmas sales - 75% off now over?

oops look like some stores havent checked their emails!!!! Well done to those bootsters who managed to take advantage of it though! I didnt bother heading to a store after the website wasnt 75%.

Cant believe we have to wait another 7 days now no boyfriend isnt pleased as he said its another 7 days of me talking about boots sale hahaha

hehe just phoned a local store jsut incase they have made a mistake too but she said "noooo its still 50% they are leaving it another week as we have so much stock". Oh well worth a try! I bet any stores that have made the mistake have realised by now though anyway!

I am hoping they will re-stock the shelves ...I am only 10 min drive from that store...Never been to the Illford one ( or by car to Illford), so not sure if I should try it, when I have to be back for 11.25 to pick up the little one from pre-school. But thanks for the suggestions )
Hope you can convince your DH to go for you now that it isn't today. I am actually happy that it isn't today, as DH had to take the car to the garage this morning as there was a problem with the gears :mad:

Can't see any of the mens gift sets or am I looking in the wrong place. I was looking for thr No.7 Skin care starter set and the fcuk travel set

I went to my local boots at 8.30 this morning and they only had there sale on at 50%, there were loads of us in the shop and asked the assistant manager when will the sale be on and her reply was " dont no and dont no if we are going to be having one" ........... one lady contacted the head office and they confirmed that there will be one and that it was up to each individual store to choose weather they went ahead with the 75% today.........we then contacted another store who confirmed that there sale had been cancelled today.........they are now saying something about next Wednesday but who knows they are being very secretive about it all and dont think its very fair, we did eventually after being in the store for over an hour get an apology, why do they have to lie ???? the sales lady's were very rude to us, some people had taken the day off work !!!!!! it's a joke, the store was full up with sale items and a full shop of people and they still wouln't let us have it a 75% ..... I thought we were in a recession !!!!!!

They should be showing if you already had them in your wishlist or favourites?

If you didnt then they wont show unless they decide to re put them on the website. The FCUK and no 7 is showing on mine but only because they were already in my favourites

Why should they tell us when the sale reductions are? And why cant they change it? As you say it is a recession and they are a company wanting to make money, they will do whats best by the company and their sales targets. In the company I work for sales are often brought forward and back at short notice and we have 200 employees which I am sure some of the larger boots probably do so the message probably wont get to all the sales assistants.

We just have to take it on the chin and accept its not today and look forward to next week.

From reading the posts from yesterday, most of the stores contacted by members here are really saying its because of the recession that they have postponed the 75% off sale - they've not shifted as much in the 50% off instore as they hoped, so they're giving it another week before they reduce the items further.
