tariff wid
hi
i recently moved to southern from n power for my electric and gas supplies tempted by the carrot of reducing my gas unit rates to 4.93 & 3.41 from the previous unit rates of 8.34 & 3.4 however it seems to be costing me more. i was told no standing charge but i have noticed something called tariff wid on the meter display. this used to be 7.34 with n power but is now 16.44. anyone have any idea what this is for and is this the reason i dont seem to be any better off?

This is the amount of gas you need to use at the more expensive rate before moving to the cheaper rate. I've not done the maths, but remember you'll need to top up more in the colder weather.0
