spend a hundred pounds on electric heaters. The remainder on paying for the electricity used by them over the next 10 years.

Will be cheaper and most likely greener than trying to reduce heat loss in the current conservatory.

your main problem will be heat loss from the roof, if you know someone thats handy with a sowing machine get some thick curtains and stitch in a seam so you can hang them along the roof, Run 2 curtain poles one along the top edge one along the bottom and fit the curtains. then get a radiator plumbed in or a oil filled electric radiator may do the job.

Thanks Roswell, got any tips on attaching the poles to the uPVC? I do have a plan to make some drape things to go on the ceiling, just not quite sure how to keep them up!!

Depending how heavy they are what about velcro edges along the material. If you have white UPVC you won't really see the other side of the velcro when you take them off when it warms up. Saves drilling into the plastic

A dehumidifier may help if the air is damp in there as its easioer to heat dry air than damp air

depending on the thickness of the poles plastic stick up hooks will do remove the sticky backing and put up with some good contact adhesive or the velcro idea sounds excellent as well.
If it doesnt pay rent sell it.

I have a 3kw convector heater in mine, and a laminate floor, and now it's warm as toast!
