Hi All,
My trusty old vauxhall vectra's gearbox has gone , car has over 150k miles on it and does not owe me anything .
Car has always be heavy on petrol average 28 mpg & high cost of car tax .
Looking at down sizing and thinking of taking advantage of scrappage scheme .
Can any one recommend small car , from looking on net , the Hyundi i10 looks a good buy @ approx 5400 after scrappage.
When does the scrappage scheme finish & if I placed order before VAT goes up with price be @ 15 VAT
Thanks for your help
Regards Steve

In theory this little Hyundai looks good but in practice I hate the dinky looks - the i20 is alot better hpw about a 107 C1 or Aygo (basically the same car) I've driven the Yaris which has the 3 cylinder 1 litre engine & liked it alot, the new Suzuki Alto might be another to consider (basically same as new Nissan Pix thingymabob - no idea about the scrappage & vat but I wouldnt hang about.Theres only two rules to remember1) Im always right2) See rule 10

Are you sure you want to downsize that much?
You could get a used but reasonably new diesel (for economy) Vectra for a decent price....0
