Paying for season ticket by cheque

Hi,
On the 7th Dec I went to the station to get my annual ticket. I paid by cheque (had to show my passport for extra ID) and it was issued there and then.
However today is the 20th and my online banking shows they still haven't taken the money from my account. It's over 3k so you'd think they'd be keen to take it!
Does anyone have any experience of paying by cheque? Does it usually take this long for them to cash the cheque?

I found the season ticket purchasing process the most ridiculously inefficient thing I've ever come across - and it's even worse requesting a refund ("oh there's no record of that ticket on the system")
Doesn't surprise me they haven't cashed it yet.0 -
Cheque processing was supposed to be improved a few years ago, cutting the time down to less than a week. The only thing I can think is that the BO have taken their time over the paperwork.Fight Crime : Shoot Back.
It's the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without being seduced by it.
