Bosch washer dryer does not heat up

I have a slight problem with my Bosch washer dryer, WVF 2401: when I put the drying cycle on, the machine turns the drum, but it does not heat, hence no drying.

Something must have gone wrong iside the machine, but what? Some heating element? Can it be fixed, does anyone know?

yes, its probably the heating element. well known to fail on a regular basis.
spare parts prices range from 5 to 40 quid.

My dryer was working but not heating up so after some internet searching i found the problem was probably down to the two thermostats on the rear of the machine,i bought these for £14 changed them and now its fine,infact it works quicker than before as it is now hotter.I would guess you have the same problem if its working but not heating up.

also might be as simple as a reset button on one of the overheat stats,take the top off (power off)& look for a red button,press it,if it clicks then its reset..if this is the case its usually due to the air/fan ducts are full of fluff

Thank you all for your posts. We opened up the washer dryer, but it is not easy to work out where the heating element is, etc without some sort of manual.

I will ask around if anyone can have a look at it, and then weigh my options. Good news is that the washing machine is ok, and I might save on electricity by not using my dryer.

I have a 6304 not heating. I've tried a new heating element but that hasn't worked - any suggestions??
