Integral fridge/freezer pullie thing

Hello everyone! Just had one of these delivered and it has a red sort of like toggle pullie thing at the bck/bottom of the fridge bit, does anyone know what this is for? Should I pull it?

NO DON'T PULL IT THE WHOLE THING WILL EXPLODE!!
Joke...I think it is part of the cleaning mechanism. When it self defrosts the liquid - and gunk- gets channelled down towards this drain. When you clean...pull it out slightly and remove any build up behind the 'pully thing' I suppose it stops gunk getting in to the innards of the machine...or something like that...0
