Hi,
Having moved in a new house i need to decide which provider to use for phone and broadband. The previous owner had a bt line.
Do i need to get bt to reconnect me before moving to another provider opr can i just ring tany provider and they will activate the line for me?
any advice would be appreciated.

Officially, you should be able to ask any of the line providers now in the market.
However, you're likely to meet with apathy at best.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
first thing to do is check your post code at www.samknows.com to see whats available.
As Heinz says any provider can activate a landline but getting them to do it.
