Can anyone help me please!

Does anyone know who I would call for information on a traffic jam? My husband has been stuck in snow on the A1 for over 2 hours now (not moved an inch) and theres no signs of the highway agency, the police...nobody and it isn't reported anywhere. I am worried nobody that needs to know are aware and can't get some kind of help to them (looks like they may be stuck there over night).

Are you sure no-one knows about it?

The Highways Agency Disruptions page lists sixteen adverse weather incidents on the A1.

You haven't told us where on the A1, so don't know whether your situation is listed.

A location would be most helpful, because the HA link above currently shows many locations on the A1 from Bedfordshire to Northumberland with bad weather.

Well if its anywhere from the M62 up to Sunderland, its snowing like hell and we've just had three inches in an hour here in East Yorks.

The authorities will be more than aware but at the moment, they're swamped. Did he take the advice given at this time of year to keep blankets in the car?

Look at https://www.trafficengland.com in the morning. Personally, unless it was a life and death situation I think I'd just stay at home.
