How can I find deleted documents?

Hi all

I recently bought a new pc and thought I'd copied everything over. Unfortunately, I have a couple of documents that don't seem to have copied and I really need to find them on my old pc.

I think there's a way of finding deleted documents? Please can anyone advise what I should do to find them again???

"Recover My Files" does it for me... gotta pay for it though... takes hours as well... usualy over 12 (depending on the size of your HD)

I remember finding a utility on https://www.download.com. Just do a search for 'deleted' or something like that and there are a few freebies, but I think they have some limitations.

You may find something useful there.

can also try "Restoration" (http://www3.telus.net/mikebike/RESTORATION.html)... not as good as the above, but its free!

have to remember that from websites like https://www.download.com and ZDnet, you often have to pay to actualy recover the files, if you dont pay, it'l only show you the files
