So sorry to hear of your loss Leona. My son is battling this at the moment. If only people knew how gruelling the treatment is with no guarantees.. the months of isolation with only 2 nominated vistors and the constant fear of the slightest infection and all the other stuff, no I wouldn't wish it on another living soul.

Let's hope they do find a cure.

Grateful to the Op for the post, I know it's not a grabbit as such but if it makes someone pause for thought then a lot of good can come of it.

ps- just as easy to just donate if you don't need or want the merchandise.

Aw you poor thing, i have tears in my eyes as it brought back memories of caring for my sister. She had AML and I believe some conditions are better than others to cure. ALL is a better one to cure... My sister was terrified of picking up an infection as it is lethal with AML, acute myeloid.

I hope your son gets better

    xxxxxx

My friend lost her sister (who was 9) to this cruel illness... she was a down syndrome, and she always thanked the Doctor for each and every injection.
    :(
We arranged a few fund raisers for the hospital where she was being treated, in the end, we managed to raise just over £12,000 to buy a machine the hosp desperatly needed for treating leukemia....
I feel for anyone who's suffering with this, or know of anyone who's suffering... I always support Leukaemia funds, but I must say, Im always afraid that research money goes into the wrong pockets... that is always my worry..

BUT in this instance, I have supported the fund, reading this thread has brought it all back to me... xxxxxxxxxxhugsxxxxxxxxxxx
