Item not as described dispute

Hi everyone,
I sold a high value item on eBay and the buyer is saying its not as described. It was brand new, so he is obviously lying to get his money back. I assume as paypal hates sellers they will just refund him and he gets to keep the item.
Any tips on how I deal with this so the **** doesn't win?
Thanks for any help

If they do a SNAD dispute, they'll have to send it back (at their expense).
SNAD disputes don't really have a "winner" (except for Royal Mail), both parties end up with what they started with, but out of pocket for the postage they've paid.Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

Thanks, Is there a way of finding out what a person has bought, so I can see if they've bought another one that they are going to swap mine with? Also what happens if I don't receive anything back, I guess that means I'm out of pocket.

They'll have to send something, Paypal'll want the tracking number.flipper_2010 wrote: »Also what happens if I don't receive anything back, I guess that means I'm out of pocket.
Whether they send you an empty box or not...Back on MSE after a 5 year hiatus.

How do you know new items have problems to he could be telling the truth.flipper_2010 wrote: »Hi everyone,

What a silly statement if he wins the claim he will be told to return it tracked before getting a fill refundflipper_2010 wrote: »I assume as paypal hates sellers they will just refund him and he gets to keep the item.
It all depends what he says is wrong with it whether he would win a dispute. If your a business seller (which it sounds like you are from all your posts) he has a legal right to return the item as long as he informs you within 7 days and sends it back within 28 days anyway. So you may be better off just offering him a refund on return of the item anyway. Worst comes to it and he wins the paypal claim they will tell him to do the same anyway0 -
It was a stuffed toy that hes saying its eye were scratched and the stuffing was coming out. I know it wasn't.
No, not a business seller, just getting rid of a lifetime accumulation of stuff. I've decided I don't like having possessions anymore. So thought I'd get rid of everything. Think maybe the local ad's and boot sales would be better for me
Thanks for all the advice
PS.. Is winning 100% of things a bad thing :-S0
