I bought this one:
ATHLON XP 2500/256DDR/80GIG/LAN/CDRW/DVD - for £220 plus postage. When man sacrifices the Love of POWER for the Power of Love, there will be peace on earth.0 -
I sell computers on ebay so naturally recommend the idea. Check out their feedback though. I have 99.5 positive, it was 100% till last week when some git who did not pay took revenge on me placing truthful negative on him.
As with anything common sense applies
1. Don't use western Union
2. Don't deal with anyone with less that 95% positive feedback
3. Ask for their phone number if you are un-sure and speak to them

I bought an IBM lappy off eBay from a private seller.
I made sure that I could pay cash & pick the item up in person so I could check it out first.
Apart from that, all the usual cavaets apply.Better to die on your feet than to live on your knees!0
