usual rules apply, check the seller out(feedback etc)maybe ask some of their buyers from a while back to see if their still happy with there comp, also check the spec against shops & online retailers to see how competative the price is.if their an established seller they should offer a returns policy.if your carefull theres bargains to be had :)

I bought a computer from Ebay and am delighted with it.

  • I sell computers on ebay so naturally recommend the idea. Check out their feedback though. I have 99.5 positive, it was 100% till last week when some git who did not pay took revenge on me placing truthful negative on him.
As with anything common sense applies
    1. Don't use western Union
    2. Don't deal with anyone with less that 95% positive feedback
    3. Ask for their phone number if you are un-sure and speak to them

I bought an IBM lappy off eBay from a private seller.

I made sure that I could pay cash & pick the item up in person so I could check it out first.

Apart from that, all the usual cavaets apply.
