They are really nice. I particularly like the bit inside with all the different inserts.

"Pocketfold invites". Most stationery companies do them now. I love it. It used to be a bugbear of mine that you'd have a beautiful invite card, then a folded word processed sheet of paper would fall out with all the extra info on. The invites I mentioned in the OP that cost a fiver each were pocketfold ones, though I have seen them cheaper from other suppliers.

Really easy to make. Obviously all the bits of paper are just cut out from prints. For the pocket, the easiest way would be to buy A5 card, fold it in half, then just stick an extra small piece inside to slot the tabs in. I made it a bit more complicated by using A4 card, and cutting out a template which has an A5 piece then another rectangle on the bottom that folds up to form the pocket.

I think it would look better if the extra info sheets were taller, so the largest was the same size as the invite piece on the right. I set text boxes in Word to be x cm tall, but then they don't print to that size for some reason. Might have another play before printing the final ones.

Other alternative is to set up a wedding website with the info and just have a reference to it on the invite, to keep the invite to the basics. But not sure all of the older relatives on our list would have liked that much...

They look fab well done you , very creative

I found various designs online that I took different elements of; not sure any of it was my idea lol. The rubber stamp is brilliant - I thought it'd be hard to get the ink even on it but it's so easy. I honestly think anyone could make ones the same, you just need enough time to do it and some patience. :) Definitely saves money to put towards other things. :money:

I got some favour box kits on eBay as well. Once made, they'll be little hexagonal ivory boxes, each with an ivory ribbon bow and a little burgundy rose stuck on. They were £30 for 100. Again, it'll be a big time investment, but the stationery is an area where you can save quite a bit of cash. :) I also like the personal touch of having some hand-made things, though if the invites had looked too Blue Peter I would have given up and ordered some. :rotfl:

I got all the cardstock I needed for mine from that website, and used the code WED09 to get 10% discount on top which I found in Wedding Ideas Magazine :) It only works till the 31st December though.
