u264047, just popping in to say, I keep reading your thread and still wish you the best outcome re the job.
Incredibly difficult I know but please, please try not to 'dwell' too much as it'll keep eating away at you and will not be good for your health.
Please try to distract yourself by doing something else, anything that takes your mind away from 'dwelling'....good luck and supportive vibes over the t'internet for you.DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Proc is spot on.
I am pointing out that believing on the balance of probabilities (as required) here isnt proof. If it was then lots of nice unsympathetic criminals/scum would go to jail for crimes they didnt commit as on the balance of probabilities and being unlikable they would be proven guilty.
Out of interest who do you work for.....
Just leave it mate.
He still doesn't understand your point and keeps re-iterating the difference.0 -

Don't take my word for it, go and see a solicitor.
From your other posts your grasp of natural justice and a fair hearing are remote to say the least, why should I expect you to understand something as simple as proof and evidence?0 -
No they cannot have the disciplinary hearing without you, it is a fundamental principle of natural justice that you must be able to defend yourself. If you produce a medical certificate the meeting will have to be postponed.
So if I got signed off for 2 weeks, they would have to postpone until after then?... I'm actually seeing my doctor today to get my anti depressants replenished.
Wouldn't they think it was a poor reason for not attending seeing as its only a meeting?0 -

If your doctor says you are not fit for work and is prepared to issue you with a medical certificate then they cannot hold the disciplinary meeting until s/he "signs you off."
Beware, if it is for a prolonged period they may then be able to find medical grounds to dismiss you.0 -

Not at all, you are stressed with how this is affecting you as a person and how these accusations are ruining your character etc.
Anti depressants does he class you as depressed I try other things instead of that if I get stressed.
THe kalms tablets help and also taking 5htp from the health food shop, you dont wanna go down the route of anti depressants unless its really the last step.If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0 -
I would advise against going sick unless you really are. Any sickness looks bad on an employment record.
If you need a postponement to gather your thoughts, evidence etc ask for one. It may go against the Company at a tribunal if this is unreasonably refused.
If you are seeing your doctor anyway, maybe you should ask about getting some independent drug testing done (you will have to pay for this). I understand the term 'smackhead' to refer to alleged heroin use and believe the test for this drug is very sensitive. Too much time may have passed for a coke test, but it's worth asking.0 -

What they think is irrelevant, they cannot hear a DP in your absence, as you and a "friend" if you wish ( as previously stated) have to be there in person on the head of procedural fairness. If they go ahead without you and believe on the balance of probabilities the managers version, and sack you; your dismissal may well be unfair imho, perhaps Anihilator thinks that would be fair, however I'm sure others on here may think differently. Good luck.0 -

I started on the Anti depressants in early December, I've been burgled twice this year, and I started on them shortly after the second one.
Apparently you can't just stop taking them as it can have very nasty withdrawel side effects.
I don't think they've eased my mind much with this situation to be honest.0 -
U have to wean yourself off them.
Seriously though read up on 5htp I was suffering from stress and unsettledness and they helped me and I feel I can face things.
It converts into your body into the natural feel good chemical serotonin but its a natural product.
Make sure you are taking vitamins and also look into getting some kalms as they are good for situations like this and help temporarily. All natural..If you found my post helpful, please remember to press the THANKS button! --->0
