Just had an offer through the post for sky talk,for free UK and international calls (6 months free,£5 per month after)
We already have sky tv anyway,but use BT for phone,and usually our quarterly bill is around £100!
Is this sky offer as good as it looks,or am I missing something?

You need to get a grip of your voice telephony expenditure if you're quarterly bill is £100 - that means you're spending about £67/quarter on calls!Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

Who can tell? You're spending about £21 a month on calls. If the vast majority were to mobiles Sky may not have anything to entice you away from BT. If most are UK evening and daytime calls you should compare the BT Anytime plan with Sky's offering.0
