Benefit Payments Lost In Bank System!

On friday i found that someone had been making credit applications and setting up direct debits using my bank account details. I contacted my bank who closed my account and reopened a new one for me. I went straight to the job centre as soon as i had left the bank and they gave me a form to fill in and to take back down there for an appointment on monday morning.
My income support was due to be paid into my bank on monday, but they issued me with a counter payment as it would be rejected. My child benefit was due to be paid in on Tuesday, i contacted them monday morning also and they explained that it was too late for them to send it to my new account but it would go back to them and be repaid into the new account as soon as it was returned to them.
I also contacted social fund as i had put in my form for my sure start maternity grant to find out it had been issued on the friday to my old account but it wouldnt have cleared until wednesday (today), after speaking to them again today they have cancelled the original payment and on the bank returning it, it would be reissued to my new account.
My child tax credit is due to be paid in on Thursday (tomorrow) and when i spoke to them on Monday they said they would have the time to make sure it went into the new account, I have just spoken to them again and they have paid it into my old account instead of my new one. Not only this but they have also just said that a new award notice has been issued and i have a seperate payment being paid into my new account on friday of £78.64 this is due to a change in my circumstances (though there has been no changes). The man i spoke to assured me that this wouldnt result in an overpayment
though couldnt tell me exactly what the changes were supposed to be.
So so far all of this money is floating around Nationwides system and there is nothing i can do until they return all of this money to them
I have just tried contacting the job centre and spoke to a lone parent advisor as i wanted to know if i would be able to apply for a crisis loan until this money went in on friday as all i have is £2.50 to my name to be told 'i cant help you its not something we deal with here contact the inland revenue'
On attempting to contact the local inland revenue offices i have since found out that they have recently changed their telephone number and everywhere i have tried only has the old number not the new number.
Has anyone got any advice on what i can do from here? If there is anyone else i can try and speak to?

Local jobcentreplus deal with crisis loans
http://www.dwp.gov.uk/lifeevent/benefits/crisis_loans.asp#canigetI no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0 -
Would the bank not foward any monies heading for your old account to your new account?Weight Loss - 102lb0

I know the jobcentre deal with crisis loans but they basically told me it wasnt their problem and wouldnt help me!
As for the bank i asked them that when they decided to cut up my card and close my account before even opening a new account and i was told that it couldnt be done. What would happen is that the money would try and go into my old account but because it is closed it would be rejected and returnedThe Only Thing Men Can Do Right Is Get Everything Wrong
