I don't use my dvd player often but came to use it last night and find that the draw sticks and won't open. I can't remember if there is a DVD in there. I don't want to / can't afford a trip to the electrical shop at this time but would like to rent a few cheap dvds for xmas.
Anyone got any ideas on what to do ? Theres nothing in the booklet on trouble shooting.
Many thanks

Great site, however i cannot find anywhere to insert a pin. Have checked the manual again , it says to exit the menu on the screen and press the open/cose menu. Obviously i've done that but it just comes up saying 'blocked'

Is there a label underneath or on the back with a model number on?
If there is definitely no hole to push a pin in i'd try removing the outer casing (unplug from mains first!). Once inside you can probably push the drawer back out. Only take the back off it's not under warranty still as it may invalidate the warranty. A few drops of lubricant on the opening mechanism may be all it needs.0 -
The model is DVDR3510V/05
I'm a bit wary about taking the casing off as i'm not technical and tend to make things work. I will give phillips time to get back to me then I may give it a try. Thank you. When it rains look for RainbowsWhen its Dark look for Stars0 -

Have you tried turning it upside down? Just sometimes dislodges the disc from where it's catching (if there's a disc in there) Try not to turn it up so any disc would fall to the back though, lean it forwards towards the front of the drawer iygwim0
