Scandinova fridge/freezer problems

I have a layer of ice on the floor where the bottom drawer sits of my Scandinova freezer (fridge on the top freezer on the bottom)- i keep chipping it off and then a couple of days later it is covered again
i noticed that water is gathering at the bottom of the fridge - i have pushed wire down the drainage hole at the back but i think the fridge freezer is leaning slightly and that is why the water is gathering but i do try to wipe it away....
so i was wondering - is the water gathering and running into the freezer as the seal on the freezer is split slightly or do i have a more serious problem - i took out the drawers in the freezer and there seems to be icicles on the grate halfway down the freezer - i couldn't find the receipt for the item so am guessing at least 6 years old .....
i could replace the freezer door seal but at £50 wondered if the whole thing was on its way out and if its a possibility i would rather spend the money on a new one
gosh hope someone is still reading as i have bored myself with this one!!:o
any help would be appreciated:o

I would not repair it if it is 6+ years old, rather get a new, more efficient one. Scandinova was Comet's own brand, we had 2 of their frost free freezers and they did not last well. We now have Bosch fridge and freezer.
How often do you defrost the freezer bit?
If the door seal is gone it could be it is letting warm air into the freezer, and this would cause a build up of ice inside it.0 -
i don't defrost it as it says it is a frost free one:rolleyes:

We now buy all our appliances on-line, worth using a site like Kelkoo to get the best price. Good luck!0
