Leaking washing machine even when not running?

My 2 and a half year old Zanussi "Essentials" 1200 rpm washing machine has started to leak water. It appears to be 'clean' water and the leak persists even when it's not running (so I assume it's a connection prior to the actual place where the water enters the machine for the washing cycle (if you see what I mean).

Does anyone have any idea where I could start looking for the cause?

Thanks

Pull the machine out and have a look at where the hose or hoses are connected.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

I would start by checking the fill hose(s) at the back of the machine.

more than a drip, but not gushing. I put a dust sheet (an old king sized sheet) down infront of it to absorb the majority of it, and it was soaked in 48 hours. I've left the machine connected as I've still got family washing to do, the floor is ceramic tiled (it's a utility room outside the main house) so it's not doing too much damage.

Turn the isolating valves on the supply off overnight to try and prove if the lesk is the delivery side of the valves.

My Hoover machine is leaking like this.

I am pretty sure it is the filter at the bottom of the machine as since I last cleaned the filter it has got much worse, I think it is leaking out the ater left at the bottom of the machine. Mine is 3 years old and I am kind of assuming that I need a new one now but as it is not at the top of my 'to do' list I never get around to it.

Do you know where the filter is, take it off, check there is nothing obvious caught in between the seal and the machine and then put it back and check to see if it still leaks, could be that the seal on it is going.

If you are washing every day then it'll be leaking out the water that is left after each wash, I wash a lot at the weekend and one wash in the week so by the time I am due to put another load in it is empty and no longer leaks. I did not do a mid-week wash this week and it has stopped, the minute is goes back on again the leak will start. I initially thought it was the door seal, possibly leaking through the bottom but now I am pretty sure it is the filter.

    it may be underneath too.
there are various places where hoses are connected to the waste. a clip may have come loose with the vibration, and so started to leak.
    Get some gorm.

Tricky one that, because 'somebody' managed to break off the plastic tap on the isolating valve. It is definatly coming from under the machine though, not the isolating valve.
