Steam and water coming out of boiler

On thursday am I noticed the water pressure on my combi was a bit low so I topped it up to just over one bar. All was fine until yesterday evening when steam started coming out of the top and water from the bottom. I switched it off.
This morning when I put it back on, there is no steam but the boiler will not fire up and there is no hot water in any of the taps.
Any suggestion on how I can get it going again ?

The pressure relief valve operated as the operating pressure rose above 3 bar.
What is the pressure reading right at this minute?

At the moment it is zero (due to to water coming out last night ?).
When I topped it up on thursday the boiler was off, but the heating had just been on for about half an hour, yet the water pressure was just into the red.
With the boiler was on (but not the heating part) the pressure was virtually zero.0 -

Suspect the expansion vessel either needs recharging or the diaphragm inside is kn.....red. The pressure can be restored using a vehicle tyre pump. Check your manual for the pressure it needs to be at. I think you should probably get someone out to look at it.With the boiler was on (but not the heating part) the pressure was virtually zero.
