Moving back to my mum's - questions about bills/benefits

Hi all,
Hope this is in the right section!
Cut a long story short, I will be moving out of my rented flat soon and looking to move back into my mum's for a while whilst I get back on my feet. Two main reasons for moving is that I have unfortunately split from my long term gf and I have secured another job in a different location.
My question(s) relate to what bills myself/mum are liable for if I moved back in, with the following being what I need advice about:
I'm also slightly worried about what my stepdad might do regarding the £100 a week he currently pays, as I believe this is an amicable payment which I don't think he is obliged to pay...
Any advice whatsoever would be greatly appreciated, as myself and my mum obviously want to do everything above board :A
Many thanks in advance.

My question(s) relate to what bills myself/mum are liable for if I moved back in, with the following being what I need advice about:
- Mum is a lone parent, on income support, child support & child benefit (3 kids all under the age of 12)
- Council tax is "free" (paid for by the council I assume?)
- She is separated from her husband (my stepdad) who pays £100 a week towards the mortgage on an amicable basis
- Utilities/food paid for by mum from her benefits
- I am earning £16k a year
I'm also slightly worried about what my stepdad might do regarding the £100 a week he currently pays, as I believe this is an amicable payment which I don't think he is obliged to pay...

I am not sure exactly what will happen but if you go to www.enititledto.com and enter your mums details plus yours when it asks about non dependants living with her it should give you an idea as to what she may or may not lose.
Hope this helps0 -
Your Mum's council tax is not free but I assume that she receives Council Tax Benefit to help her with it.
If you move in, your mum's council tax will be based on 100% of the bill as at the moment, it is based on 75%.
The CTB that she receives will be reduced depending on your weekly gross income. On an income of £16,000 pa, you would be near the top of the income scale for non dep deductions so your mum might lose up to £6.95 weekly from her CTB which she might then ask you to pay.I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.
