Train Season Tickets
I'm looking everywhere on the train site and can't find any mention whatsoever that the season ticket to my destination i need includes the return journey back. On the main site at National Rail, there is a season ticket calculator that sees how much you can save but seems to give the impression it's just a one way thing and not a return journey.
Does anyone know if it includes a return journey?
I need a season ticket for 2 month to travel to work and back from Lancaster to Manchester mon-fri. It will cost £474 which is saving me a lot than if i got a ticket each day for 2 months, but i don't know if that includes a journey back, meaning a need another season ticket from Manch Picc to Lancaster after work.

A season ticket is valid for all journeys along the route you specify, in either direction0

^ Yup.
As mentioned, a season ticket (be it weekly, monthly or annual) is valid for as many journeys as you want (while it's in date) within the route of the origin and destination station. So you can travel through in the morning, come back in the afternoon, then go back out in the evening, and home at night if you want. You can also break your journey, or get off a stop early if you wish.
Just make sure you don't leave it behind in the morning, since 'I have a season, I left it in the kitchen' doesn't get you a freebieFight Crime : Shoot Back.
It's the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without being seduced by it.
