Asda last chance for delivery "oh no it isn't"!!

APOLOGIES FOR POSTING THIS FIRST IN 'DISCUSSIONS' I meant to put it in here....
Last dates for delivery for xmas, said my asda email. Not wanting to miss it, I booked my slot, just two left, monday afternoon slots so I chose one of them, and re-arranged the plans for that day. Took about 20 mins to select and buy from my long list. Went to checkout. Up came a message 'book your delivery slot', though I already had done....
but it now it wasn't showing as such, confused I went to 'book my slot' again! only to discover all slots had now gone! so, no delivery for xmas:mad:
Has this happened to anyone else? peed off isn't the half of it....

That's a real shame.0

I can't think of any possible solution to this one. If only we could get some kind of attachment to our body that would enable us to move around. Or even better, imagine if someone invented something that we could get into and travel around in.
It sounds like you and your family are going to starve to death over the Christmas period.0 -
Next time perhaps book your slot, place one item in your basket and go to checkout. That'll keep your slot.
Then re-visit your basket later on and order the things you need.
Sorry if you're maybe disabled or don't have someone else you can rely on, obviously. But if you're fit & able bodied, come on, most supermarkets are running on extended opening hours, many are even open 24 hours ... can't you just suffer the Christmas shop like the rest of us ?
There's bigger things to greet about.0 -
Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit...you know who you are...
Why do asda have a delivery service then? for the convenience of people, maybe people don't have a car, ('Proc') what a liberty I should opt to use the service eh.....
If I had a car I would have gone during the quiet time of the 24 hour opening, or if there was someone who would assist me and not give me a time limit or be a hindrance..or do it with ill grace, as I have found to be the case...unfortunately...
maybe I don't want to be in a crowded shop with screamin kids and people stopping dead in the aisles or wandering about like they have been hit with an elephant tranquiliser dart....with just a pineapple in their trolley....
My point is I used the 'convenience of home shopping' and did everything right, then found it didn't operate as it should. The rest of the year has been fine.....And, I can complain and ask questions as I feel fit to do....0 -
