Advice on problems with special needs school

I would be tempted to write to the head of the special needs service expressing your surprise that no apology has been forthcoming from the school.0

Just to add to all the intelligence above, one of the things we are inspected on is how schools deal with complaints. It is on the initial parents questionaire, I think the qustion is about how well the school deals with complaints and (I think) whether the parents would feel happy to complain to the school. It might not be like that now as inspections have "evolved" and also Scottish and Special schools may be different. However it is vital that schools are seen to take the views of the parents very seriously.
I think complaints can go straight to the governors as complaints about the head would. Again I am ignorant of the Scottish and Special School proceedures.
