Hi
I have a surplus £20K sat in my bank acct and , a spare '£500' per month regular income.
Have a 3 yr fixed rate mortgage and have maximised my ISA.
What should I do for best return on this money - savings acct?, buy2rent, pay off mortgage?
i also have another approx £25K coming 'in' over the next 18 months.
Thanks

mortgaged buy to let is a high risk transaction and cash is a low risk one. So, basically you appear to be willing to accept options from across the risk scale. That gives you tens of thousands of potential options.
You are going to have to narrow it down more. What will the money be for? what sort of accessibility is needed? how much cash reserve would you have left? what is your risk level for this money? what is your knowledge and experience of investing (or being a landlord)? what tax position are you in now and what will you likely be when you need the money back? etc etc etcI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). for best return on this money
best return? well, 20,000 lottary tickets could give you a fantastic return of £30m .... if you're lucky.
