I need to purchase a shed soon and it looks as if the best price will be via the internet. Can someone please advise what qualities I should be looking for? Ie, I've seen one which is made from pine and 12mm T&G - does this sound OK? Sorry to sound dim but sheds aren't my strong point
Also, would be grateful if anyone could recommend a particular company or brand. thanks.

I've been thinking of ordering one from this site:

They look pretty good. 12mm T&G is pretty standard on decent sheds I think.
I'm going to get some of that one way mirror stuff to stick up at the windows, stop people seeing in.0 -
I've been looking at the metal ones from Screwfix0

Hi
The only problem with metal sheds is the condensation. wooden sheds don't suffer from condensation.0 -
Allways get a bigger size than you think. You can quite easily fill one and then think you should have got bigger. I have know got 2 sheds!**BERTIE**Did you Know: It costs more than £325,000 a day to run the lifeboat service? (with no government funding) Please donate to the RNLI0

Do people call you chalky 'two sheds' bertie?0

We got our shed from Costco, it is a plastic one, 6ft by 4ft. It cost £280. UI think its much better than a wooden one, and if we ever move, its easily dismantled to take with us.0

We had two sheds too...and still found that we did not have enough space for our requirements...so best thing is think what you are going to use it for...size is important and what shape roof also, likewise the space you have for it too. Then go for the best quality that you can afford..not forgetting the Base you site it on is real important as well0

I looked at those plastic ones in Costco. They now do a 8' x 8' for £352. It's getting it home that's the problem though0

Have you checked out your local shed making places - they sell off their demonstration models cheaply so you may get a better buy than anything on the net and the bonus is you can look at it before you buy and they will deliver and build in with the price.
Figure out how big a shed you need, then buy one twice as big - it's not just a bloke thing :rotfl:0 -
I agree with previous poster. Check out local shed makers first. They are often very reasonable. We had one made it was no more expensive than other quotes from various sources, was made to our exact specification and three years on still looks like new. Recently bought a small shed/log store and bike shed from Homebase...complete rubbish and won't last half as long.
If you are getting wood definitley go for t&g not overlap (cheaper but less long-lasting). Aesthetically I think wood wins every time. If it begins to look shabby you just cresosote or stain and it'll look great again. Ageing plastic or metal are likely to look much more tired and sad in my opinion.Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0
