Hand Cream

Hi,
My DH works is an airport baggage handler which is an inside/outside job.
He is struggling with extremely dry skin on his hands - it's beginning to crack and split!
Can anyone suggest a really good moisturiser for him?
I know he should really wear gloves but it makes handling the luggage harder as it restricts his grip.
TIA

my mum has really dry cracked hands and she uses a Vaseline intensive one and she says it works brilliant and is only a couple pound.0

Neutrogena is good, but my favourite handcream is the L'Occitane shea butter one. It's definitely not cheap but it's so rich that a little goes a long way. It's fabulous stuff - I get really dry and cracked hands, and I've got sensitive skin, but this really works for me.0

Palmers Cocoa Butter - you can buy an unscented version which might be more suitable for a man. I have incredibly dry skin and Palmers is brilliant for keeping it hydrated.
Something like Diprobase or Ultrabase would be excellent too and can be bought over the counter but is cheaper if you can get a prescription from your GP.
He might find it useful to wash his hands with aqueous cream, pat dry very gently (do not rub!) and then apply whichever moisturiser he chooses. For an intensive treatment, apply moisturiser generously and then wrap hands in cling film for half an hour or so.0 -
another vote for Neutrogena - just a small amount does wonders.
the advert says its the stuff norwegian fishermen use and it got me through a very cold dehydrated trip around the andes.fran-o0 -
Another vote for Neutrogena here too. My OH is an industrial fireman, working in/outdoors frequently with water and various chemicals, and that's what he uses

Another vote for the l'occitane but its expensive, the body shop hemp one is similar but sometimes the strong smell is too much if you are going to eat afterwards, also i find too much comes out of the body shop tube and gets wasted. When the pennies are tight i buy the neutrogena concentrated hand cream, this is what my builder other half uses too, very good you can also get it in unscented but the scented version is a nice pleasant smell not too girlie. Its on offer in boots at the moment as i just got a couple at the weekend.0

This may sound strange, but several people I know swear by udder cream !
You can buy it on Amazon and lots of other places online, and it's pretty cheap and fantastic for anyone with dry amd chapped skin.
And yes, that is 'udder' as in a cows undercarriage....
