Ryanair gift vouchers

My husband is so difficult to buy gifts for and yet again I'm hurtling towards Christmas still without a clue what to get him.
I got him some trainers but need something else. "Surprises" leave him cold...in fact he's told me he hates having to pretend he likes what I've got him. Yeah, I know...nice chap...!
The one thing that gets him interested is flying...or more specifically, holidays. So I'm wondering whether to just get him some Ryanair vouchers.
We've flown with Ryanair before and always been happy with them, and have a nearby airport from which they fly.
So has anyone used this option? And are there any drawbacks I may not have considered? Presumably if Ryanair should cease trading before the vouchers were used, I'd be eligible for a refund if I booked by credit card over £100?

There are always drawbacks to buying Ryanair ancilliary products. The main ones for the vouchers are a £5/5euro charge, only valid 12 months,
If a voucher is partially redeemed the remaining balance is void.
Vouchers are only valid for the person named as the voucher recipient
If he wants to buy Ryainair flights getting him a prepaid Mastercard with the lowest charges would be a much better option.0 -
Thanks apt. You've just put me off and of course you're right.
God only knows what I am gonna get him, though!0
