Applying for a loan and CC at the same time

in Credit cards
Hi all,
Just want to double check the best procedure for this.
In February I'm aiming to get a loan of around £3000 - £4000 and an 0% on purchases card. I'll be needing both at the same time (loan to assist with car puchase, CC to pay for insurance (and pay it off interest free over 12 months)).
Is it best to apply for both at the same time (ie in the hope that neither will see each other as a mark on my file, thus giving me maximum chance of getting the best loan rate) or one after the other (if applying for 2 at the same time makes u look desperate)?
If at the same time are we talking same week / day / hour ??
Or if seperate how long would you give it and loan or CC first?
You help, as always, is much appreciated

Did it 14 months ago
I applied for 10k loan in NatWest- next day received money and for CC: Halifax 6000, Amex 3200,Barclays 2000, Paypal 1500 (all approved).
Wages 30k, credit scoring nearly excellent in all 3 agencies.
I checked credit scoring last week no significant changes.
Good luck :j0 -
Sounds good, though the financial climate was a little different 14 months ago!
However I'll only need the loan and 1 CC and I think I have a pretty good credit file (need to double check but never had any issues ' late payments etc
