Scatty insurance takes ages to track. Then they usually don't pay for about 6 months (just in case you cancel your policy). Check back on Quidco because you can't put a ticket in for six weeks for some things - so you'd best make a note of all the details you need and keep it somewhere safe until the time it is needed.
The best thing to do is just think of the cashback as a bonus - don't depend on it. Whenever it pays it'll we be a nice sum for Christmas.
Sarah, I think you ARE money neutral with that gift as it was accounted for last year but not given, it works the same as a gift you received and are passing on to someone else.
Rufus - thanks for posting about Zee and Fatcheese. I've just claimed my last £5.00 paypal off Zee, and account is now closed as they are terrible at paying! I've just claimed £17.97 off Fatcheese too.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

I just caught up with all 35 pages and I'd like to join again too please:T
I decided to cut back on the extended (and very far flung) family presents this (and future) years. I wrote and explained about time and money constraints (which are all too dull to inflict on you) and hoped they would be happy for me just to buy for the great nephews & nieces instead (8 at the last count). I haven't heard anything, so I figure it is!:p
On another track - I sorted out all my decorations this year and would like to donate the spares. Is a charity shop the best place or would a centre of some sort would better? Any suggestions would be gratefully received.0 -
Phunkles - Music Magpie or Cex for CDs and DVDs (unless they are really recent, they sell on eBay for pennies). Books - Amazon maybe but they take ages to sell, if at all. Can you sell them to students at uni? Advertise them to the year below? or can you take them back to the book shop? our Blackwells will give you money back for 2nd hand books.
Lush will sell on eBay i'm sure of it
emmie - Check out post 2 of this thread for this month's challenge!
kingshir - welcome back! I would say the charity shop for donations, or a local nursing home maybe?
sarah - I would say that would be money neutral if you bought it with last year's money!
rufus - well done! You are doing brilliantly!
scatty - sometimes the cashback takes a few days to track. If it doesnt track you can ask quidco about it, as long as youhave your policy numbe rbut you have to wait 2 weeks after the transaction to ask them.
:ABeing Thrifty Gifty again this year:A

Welcom Kingshir
You could try the charity shops, or perhaps an old people's home or something but I don't think anyone would want them as they would have to store them for the rest of the year. Perhaps you could keep them until November and try then! Sorry, it's not much use is it?I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

Well I got there, I got 20000 doohoo, points , after they deducted me 3500 for reviews they didnt like. I redeemed it straight away, so they cant steal my points again.
They sent me an email saying : i`ve redeemed them for amazon vouchers so what happens now?
Do they send me a code or what, does any lovely person know, quite chuffed really, never done anything like it before.:T:T
Also had to put a bet on for elderly neighbour yesterday, done it on line. Thet matched the amount I put on , had a go on the slots and won £100, but they took £20.00 off me because I withdrew it immediately. I `m not a gambler normally.
On a sad note, managed to get to test centre in the deathly black ice today and they cancelled my sons theory test, he was gutted.
I did phone before i went, couldnt get through, said they were having large volumes of calls. Just as well I went though because when I come back and phoned them, they said I would have lost my money if I hadnt of tried to get there???? Which makes no sense, how do they know I tried to go. And why take my mobile number, house number and email address if they not going to call me...aaarrrrgggChallenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
