Well, my Ebay auctions went live last night and I have 4 bids on one of the items - it is currently at £5.82 and runs until next Monday so fingers crossed it will go up a bit more.

No bids on my other item yet though.

Will try and dig more stuff out today, but kids are off school because of the snow.

Ooooo have just seen Jamtart's post about listing 5 items on Ebay, so off to find 3 more things...

I have just listed 3 more items on Ebay which will start tonight so fingers crossed.

I'm so glad I joined here as it will keep me motivated - I would never have done the Ebay stuff without you - just hope it all sells now!

I will try to dig more stuff out as I go along with my decluttering!

Right, off to take the tree and decorations down now - kids have been complaining but I've told them it's bad luck to keep it up past tomorrow, so hopefully they will help me now that they are off school. :santa2:

Just out of interest what kinds of things are you all listing on ebay?
I've been having a root through stuff but can't seem to find much except the kids old clothes (which I never have much luck selling ) and big toys which would cost too much to post to make it worthwhile listing :(

  • Ive sold clothes, hats, scarfs, bags, cds, books, crafting bits stamps- papers etc.
Worth having a look i junk drawers for any old gadgets that may be of use to others, eg old phone chargers, d.i.y packets and spares.
Do you have any jewellery? I mean often costum jewellery goes down well it dosnt have to be 18c!!

Hi everyone, can you please help me work out what's best to do with my craft stuff? I'm thinking of eBaying it to help towards spending moeny for our holidays (okay, not an occasion as such but it's a big holiday for us and I'm trying to throw what I can at it xx). I hope it's okay to post this here?

Whilst clearing out my loft I've found the following:

A box with a started latch hook rug set (only a few starnds added) - should I sell this as it is or unpick it and let eBayers know I've done this?

3-4 still sealed Whinnie the Pooh Cross stitch kits

A load of cheesecloths I think they're called - tapestry fabric (not aida... much much softer and looks/feels like soft white material) with a pattern printed on the front to be sewn over

Tonnes and tonnes of beads - should I just sell this as a job lot or take time to sort them out into maybe colours and seel as colour lots? I have in most cases 10-20 of the larger beads and countless numbers of different packets. ETA - they are not loose and in a big mess - they're already sorted into tiny ziplock bags...

Help!! I really don't know what's the best thing to do with all these bits, or even a slight idea of what to expect to get for them...

On a another note, I've pulled down a load of Partylite bits and am about to take them to my local hairdressers (she's also a friend of mine) to see if she can sell that for me

    Thank you!

  • Its well worth putting them on ebay especially if your not going to use them might as well get some money for them.
Branded kits like winnie the pooh can sell well it would be worth selling the in one lot. Even tiny kits in hobbycraft go for 2-6 so think you could start off with £4 for 4 sets and see how far it goes?

I think selling beads in big bags/mixed lots is good idea. Lots of people sell them in oz bags which can be expensive if you want lots of colour or are just starting out. Depends what you mean by tonnes! You could always put a buy now price up higher that might get you more.

Ive easily paid £1-1.50 for tiny bag it would be worth looking at similar beads and starting just under. Found lots of ebay shops sell beads so you may have to get people interested with a good price to start off.
