Hi jammy, well done on your bootsales, thats excellent:T:T

In my hampers I put a personalised mug (free from vistaprint) a snowman soup, ingrediants bought with morrison vouchers, a personalised pen (vista), a personalised tshirt (vista), keyrings, (vista) personalised notebook (vista) personalised caps

In the men, i put shower gel (top gear) by changing labels...on 9p shower gel

In the ladies, I used pinecone vouchers to buy dove stuff when they were buy one get one free, i would get £6 , then have a voupon for a £5 off products.

So hampers were nearly money neutral and friend giving them to her friends and family for xmas

I also put sweets in as I went to bm and got cheap sweets to put in sweetie hampers, and teasco and asda throughout the day has offers on sweets under 10p if you look out for them, things like marshmallows , dip dabs, fudge, they always seem to have some thing on offer

    Xmas Saver!
Susan - I love those ideas for the hampers and what a bargain.

Jamtart - Well done on the car boots, have to get my rear into gear, just waiting for dds school to start, then if I help out for an hr or so on the PTA drinks, leave dad at the table we get it free. The schools got the reputation for being one of the best in the area, so worth the wait xx
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx
  • ah Im just not grasping Shopping.com at all! I did my first review so problems. It was just after I registered and I just search iphone and it was simple. But now when I search something everything seems ot be amazon or ebay (they have the 5 star ratings) and when I click on them I cant see where to do the reviews. The Amazon ones take me to amazon and ask me to sign in the to the reviews, would this log for a shopping.com review?

If anyone could give me some tips on what to look our for when choosing an item from the list to review Id much appreciate it! It driving me insane hahaha

    Hiya,

Well done Jammy on your bootsales, I bet your house looks lovely all the things you make and buy for it, are you going to be doing the furniture yourself? I love the stuff on your blog.

The hampers sound fantastic, well done.

Only managed a couple of surveys over the last few days, not been on onepoll since I got paid think I have about 60p towards next payout. Have done a couple of shopping.com reviews but I'm finding it hard to find anything to review. Have also added a few venues and events on wozzon but again finding it hard to find things not already on.

Keep up the good work everyone

    Take care
    sarah

Thanks Sarah! We have totally ran out of money so we have had all the furniture donated from kind friends and family and to be honest it is almost completely brand new including 4 leather couches without a mark on them! I've decorated the rooms around the items of furniture to try and make them look like they belong together and it has worked really well! The money from these boot sales is going towards curtains as we don't have any curtains on some windows still!! :) Thanks for the kind words though sarah! I have painted some of the furniture I'll have to put some pics on the blog!

Great idea about your boot sale mum2one. I have got loads of stuff on eBay too including all my bridesmaids dresses etc. :( We have had a really really good sort out and all the good stuff went on a pile for eBay and all the bits that I didn't think would sell I put in the car boot pile! One man bought an as new microwave, old hifi system and speakers and a kettle for his house for £9.50 from me! So those "big" items bumped it up a bit. Most of the stuff sells for 50p or £1. Old bed sheets seemed to sell quite well as well (only for £1 but a lot of buyers and a lot of interest) so just thought Id let you know!

eeh been awol for ages and it's bloomin well the middle of august so am way behind on buying for christmas and for raising the cash for being money neutral. I've got half the adults pressies as I went crackers in the boots 75% off sale, so just need one other thing each, but haven't started on any of the kids (like nieces and nephews, i usually leave my own kids til last).

So - plan of action - busy my little bottom over the next few weeks during nap times on ebaying, surveys, music magpieing, etc; and use this money to purchase rest of pressies, see if I can have all pressies in and neutral by end of september.

Are there any challenges going on at the moment? will have a look back but I have a lot to read, I have been gone a while...

jammy I've missed you and our little chats x

here's a photo of why I've been awol and so busy...

That's a lovely photo! How old are they?

You plan to get everything done in 6 weeks? Are you mad? LOL

NO challenge on here for this month, we didn't really have one last month either, so we are in desperate need of one!

Can anyone make a suggstion for one? I really need to get my derrier into gear. According to last year, i'm really organised - but i'm behind on where I had hoped to be this year! :(

Hi everyone and nice to see you back Jammy, well done on your boot fairs. I havent done much money making for a while, cant seem to get motivated to do reviews although I might try and get some done this week as daughter has gone camping for the week. Need to make some pocket money for October as my SIL has said she will take me to the Stitch and Knit show at Alexandra Palace meeting one of my sisters up there for the day. Will raid my £2 coin jar (got another one today), think I have about £30 so far.

My son's girlfriend was pleased with the quilt I made for her friend's son's birthday, said she will be paying me for making it at end of month and she might have another order for me.

elysia - the photo was took a little while back but they are 5 and 9months now.

and 6 weeks - I think I might be mad - yes... no, like I said I have done half and I leave my husbands and daughters main stuff til later cos they pick what they want nearer the time (especially when the new fad adverts come out on kids channels). My sister in law has a jewellery/bags catalogue business thing and it's cheap so I think I will just take my list and pick a load of stuff to finish my shopping for extended family. done and dusted nice and quick.
sister in law wants bindeez pink 3d station for niece and toy story hama beads set for nephew - so thats fab and easy - have found them at toys r us - 15 each, I have found the hama ones cheaper elsewhere but as soon as I get some ebay earnings I'm gonna transfer some money over and get them, so gonna see if I can get the bindeez station cheaper somewhere else in the mean time.
Husband wants an ipad - he can but dream!
