Thank you mum2one for the challenges, glad you was gentle with us..:)

Lauhen - great total on ebay, well done you:T:T

Syphraven - ty for the info, love the blog x

Phunkles wb and enjoy the train :j

Nickybo - I might take you up on the ebay 99p thing, i should get me backside in to gear, like you say 99p better in our pocket.;)

Now let me tell you about DS.....he booked the arm bands on line to goto blackpool, 3 for £60, basically buy 2 get 1 free...he started off to blackpool and got about 1hr down the road....he been driving 3 months....he was in the middle lane of the motorway doing about 70mph, and his bonnet came up, smashed the windscreen and dented all the roof(another write off), the bonnet stayed up and he managed to get onto the hard shoulder without hitting anything (miracle). The aa brought the car back, but Blackpool wont refund any money for not using the tickets, they have a policy, no refunds under any circumstances and the tickets only available to use on that day....so he lost £60 as well as having no car:(, but hes alive and his friends so thats the most important thing :)

Susan - so glad your son is okay, I bet it was frightening at the time

Thanks to everyone who suggested Netmums for finding days out, I spent ages on there last night and now I've got lots of great ideas for the summer holidays. Quite a few of them are free too, so even better. It means we can have a few more costly days out and the free days balance it out :) On Netmums I found out there is a teddy bear's picnic at our local country park. It's free, we just have to take our own picnic and teddy bears (and ds of course!), they have all sorts organised - an entertainer, face painting and a teddy parade! I can't wait! :rotfl:

Today I got 20p on One Poll and 2000ish points on Toluna just doing their quick polls.

after all my resolutions last year I'm looking at the calendar in shock that it's the end of July - who pinched those 7 months?

it's quiet now - teens either at work or in bed:mad: so I can make lists in peace. Just gotta remember where I put them.....

eeeep, Susan, thank goodness he's ok!!!!

I was looking at what days out I could do with Tesco vouchers last night & found that I could take myself & 2 children to Sealife for just £15. It works out £10 tesco vouchers = £40 for 3 sealife tickets, train fare is £15 when booked in advance (under 5s travel free) & we're going to take a packed lunch. Does that make sense or is it clear as mud? Bargain I thought.

Took ds1 & my mom to see "how to train your dragon" at the cinema - kids club screening. When we got back my moms neighbour had dropped off some of her Grandkids old games for us so at the moment my 2 are setting up the Kerplunk game.

Thank you for all your kind words about DS , he`s fine but apparently one of the lads that was sleeping in the back car is upset... DS said he woke up and said what did we stop for after they pulled over in the hard shoulder and cut the engine.

His mother phoned up gave DS a hard time and then asked for his insurance details for the boy to make a claim....she suppose to be ringing me back when i`m in .....we `re not sure what the claims for as the boys father phoned up and thanked DS for his quick thinking and not not crashing....

Dont know what to make of that.....:(

Sounds like someone's after a few quid! It's a shame really. You can't breathe nowadays or someone will sue you.

Sending you a big hug - it's worrying enough thinking about DS without having to worry about things like that too.

How horrible! I can't imagine why she thinks she has anything to claim for, she sounds like she's trying to make a quick quid. If he wasn't injured then, unless she is going to lie, all she could try to claim for is 'distress' or something similar. If he didn't even wake up until they had pulled over, then I can't imagine she will succeed in this nonsense  As long as your son's other friends can back him up that the lad wasn't even awake during the incident then I can't see how any claim could be made, and I'd definitely tell her that when she phones, the money grabbing cowbag!
