Hi - just managed to withdraw £10 from Butlins bingo - I only do the free scratchcards and have only won 10p now for ages so it has taken a while to get to £10!

Nothing for me either from Onepoll Sarah - I'm on about £34 ish so still a bit further to go yet.

Hope everyone's having a good day - I got soooo cold and wet this morn at DD2's Playgroup sport's day, DS's was supposed to be this pm but it got cancelled due to the weather and has been postponed to Wed pm - have also got DD1's tomorrow pm!

So much going on this week with school and playgroup stuff, but DH and DS are going away on youth group weekend Fri-Sun and both DDs are going to spend the night with their auntie and uncle on Fri so I have a whole night to myself!!! - am hoping to go out with a friend, but it will be weird to be by myself overnight as it will be the first time in over 9 years :D

    Take care all

    Hello all,

First time poster on here (normally on the other Thrify Gifty thread!!), but I've bitten the bullet and decided that I need to sort myself out! What with Christmas this year, and the possibility of two holidays next year.....

(that sounds posher than it is - inlaws paying for accomodation for us at their timeshare for one holiday - basically our Christmas present this year! - but we need to sort flights, and the other 'holiday' is visiting family but they live in the south of France. Plus they're old so we can't really hang about too much if you know what I mean!)

....I need to raise some extra cash! Plus, I'm just back to work after maternity leave, having to pay for some childcare, and costs are just piling up!

I've been doing quite well if the GFK surveys - have won a few vouchers which have covered Amazon purchases for birthdays over the past few months, so that's great. I used to do DooYoo back before last Christmas, so should really get my bum in gear and get back over there.

I also belong to Pinecone, Pureprofile and Valued Opinions. I try to use Quidco, and although I've just had a £100 ish payment it just got swallowed up in my bank account!

We do quite well with Tesco Clubcard points through the year too, but we normally x4 them and treat ourselves (meal out, pop over to Calais before Christmas to do a quick wine shop - normally with many orders from family members, cinema tickets).

I'm assuming this is all quite a good start. I'm really no good at ebay selling, and at the moment organising ourselves for a carboot sale with an (almost) 7 month old is not top of my list! lol

Any hints or tips you ladies (and gents?) can give me would be great.

Do you do monthly challenges? Is there a link to the most recent one?

    Thanks all!

    Hi Claire
Love the sound of the south of france, any room in the suitcase? The challenges are the 1st of the month on this side, while jamtart was away. different people put challenges on, I did this one

"The Roadkill challenge" - not squirrel pie or anything like that, don't worry!! see if there is any money when your out and about, if your on the bus look on the seat, of in a taxi, great place - where the seatbelt holders come from.....

Just watch out for the coins that someone has glued to the floor!!
xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx

    Hiya Clare,

I think you've covered it all apart from ebay and boot sales. You're doing really well. Don't worry xxx

mum2one - we're hoping this time that my parents are going to drive down (camp on the way down and back up) so they can take the majority of the luggage, and we can just do hand luggage on the flight! lol So you'll have to jump in their car with the camping equipment!

Thanks both. Will keep at it then!! Just need to stop the money vanishing in my account....

Not done much money making here. Surveys keep crashing at the end again(VO) - wouldn't mind but its always the surveys that are worth the most. I'm up to £7.50 there.

I'm up to 50,000 points on toluna (was only 20,000ish last week).

    Onepoll I'm at £10.90.

Have done enough for the next Amazon voucher from Dooyoo, just got to wait for points to clear. Starting on next one already. Surveys no good for me either still.

well done to everyone on all your money making:j

I have a question about toluna. I have redeemed 2 lots of points for amazon vouchers and there is still no sign of either! when I do eventually get them will I get an e mail or will they come to my toluna account? I was hoping to use them for a phone for ds' birthday but not being very optimistic! how on earth it can take them so long to process an e voucher:eek:

I received my love to shop voucher after about a six week wait, but I applied for my Amazon one about eight weeks ago now, and still not received it! Sorry I can't help. I hope you get them soon.
