Thanks Susan. I haven't really either - though saying that I have had lots of shiny new kitchen equipment recently - diswasher, cooker and hood etc, they would be worth more but it's getting around to it. I will try and write some next week. I only need £3.30 ish to get another voucher.
Thanks for the challenge Mum2one - A nice easy gentle one! Love it!!!I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

OK, sorry I've been MIA for a while, things have been a little crazy but I'm determined to make the second half of the year as money saving/making as possible. I'll join in with the new challenge, I'm always finding money on the floor. I managed to find a total of 53 Euros last year, which was useful on holiday.
Me and my partner are hoping to move soon as the place we're renting is falling apart at the seams, so I've been inspired to look through all my stuff and have a clear out. I'm hoping to start ebaying things next weekend and it will give me a good chance to sort out all my presents that I already have.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650 -

Hope no-one minds with me jumping up with belated 1st month challenge......The Roadkill ChallengeNo don't worry I won't be asking you to do squirrel pies etc, (can't remember which lady calls found money roadkill, hence borrowed the idea).
While your our and about keep your eyes open for any loose money, on the floor, the kerbs, this is a classic even a taxi.... (if your in the back seat, where the seat belt goes in), thats an ideal place as change slips out of pockets)...... do it discretly!!
Whether its a penny or a pound or your like my neighbour was lucky enough to find a £20 note.... its money we wouldn't ofhad
So all I can say is Happy roadkilling, and the 31st July, put ur totals in xx
Love this one Mum2One - had to laugh the other day I was waiting for the bank to open and saw 5p on the floor near the cash machine - a woman was walking past and I saw her spot the 5p, so she walked over to the cash machine and put her bag down on the floor then crouched down behind her bag to get the 5p, she saw me looking at her so then PRETENDED to use the cash machine then went away - I couldn't stop laughing!
Oh also, if you are going to pick up coins off the floor - give them a gentle nudge with your foot first to check that they are not glued to the floor - a classic trick around here.
Looking forward to this one!Thrifty Gifty February make £20 challenge £21.05/£20.0 -
I'm very well thanks Elysia, looking forward to the challenge. Does it count if you've picked up money your other half has dropped
if so I've got 50p already!
One thing I've been doing over the last couple of months is putting £1 coins in a moneybox. This is my Edinburgh fund as we are going for a long weekend in August (it's our holiday this year) and we don't really have any spare money, so we're using the pound box. I think I'll keep it going after August to help for Christmas. At the end of the week, if either me or partner have any £1 coins they go in the box.Grocery budget in 2023 £2279.18/£2700Grocery budget in 2022 £2304.76/£2400Grocery budget in 2021 £2107.86/£2200Grocery budget in 2020 £2193.02/£2160Saving for Christmas 2023 #15 £ 90/ £3650 -

£4.50 on surveys that's brilliant Sarah.
DD is good at finding money I've always said she must have a magnet in her feet, although she found a £10 note once.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!

My problem with this challenge is that unless someone is with me I can't reach down to pick up money if I find it due to my dodgy arms etc. I will keep my eyes peeled though if I am with someone else although they will probs pocket it themselves. Think I will have a scrounge round the rooms indoors instead and see if I can find any coins here.
Have managed another review this morning putting my total up to 17195 towards next voucher. It is definitely going slower this time, but never mind. Will knuckle down a bit more next week once all the football is finished, plus we have visitors again this weekend. Its just a nuisance the way they have the categories now for the 600 points reviews as I dont really have any toys indoors as my daughter is now 15 next week, I only have a few different perfumes which I have already done, I have done my tv which is new but everything else like cooker, washing machine etc is years old so no good reviewing them. The one thing I like reviewing is the films and these have gone down to just 100 points per review. Still, we have loads of dvds that I can still do so will get a move on with them when I get time.
Been doing the clicks but the amounts are going up so slowly now. Havent had any surveys for a few days, One Poll seems to have gone downhill lately with either none on there for me or just the one.
Havent really had anything to put on Ebay although my daughter came home from her youth group the other night wearing a brand new ski suit lol. They had a boot fair a few weeks ago to raise money for their camp this year and the stuff what was left over they were going to take to the charity shop but they said if any of the kids wanted anything they could have 3 items each. I had to laugh, it was sweltering hot and I opened the door, wondered who it was at first as she had this black all in one on with those stripes on the arms etc like you get to show up in the dark, looked like she was police or may be a parachutist. I have looked on Ebay and the suits are selling for about £10 or more, so might put it on there. I am not up on skiing though so does anyone know the best time to put it on? Would it be better to wait till the winter? It would be ideal for someone who has a kid going on holiday with the school, that kind of thing. Might get a bit more for it if its in season.
Anyway, I am off to make my list for this months food shop. Catch you all later xx0 -
£4.00 today on surveys.
2,000 toluna
Saved £51 by buying toys half price at tesco
Have a load of stuff to ebay but was waiting for a free listing day. I might actually do it tomorrow, that way, a 7 day listing will have finished and I can get everything posted before the kids break up.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!
