*NEW* Thrifty Gifty - Money Making for Christmas & Occasions 2010

Not much money making going on here either. I'm so tired and have so much work to do that I haven't been on Dooyoo for ages! I don't think I'll get back into it properly now until the summer holidays as the next few months are always stupidly busy and hectic at school.
I'm going to try to add more points to Toluna though as that's something I can just spend a few minutes every day on and I have to feel like I'm doing something!Making money for Christmas 2012!0 -
I have spits and starts of being motivated to do dooyoo or other stuff, I think because I am close to a cheque I seem to go all guns blazing, am nearly there but I havent had a cheque since March. I imagine i will step back again as it is very time consuming.
Had 50p on onepoll today, got a lightspeed one too which is now sending me a sample to test and then will get a further one in a weeks time.MPs left feb '08 276- Dec 13 36 :T MB Jan 10 ~ £82,377 Dec 13 ~ £29987

Hi all!!
Oh no Susan, sorry to hear about your son, glad he is ok! It's mad the amount of people who crash straight after passing, my OH passed end of may 08, crashed a week later and wrote off his car swerving after a rabbit ran out in road, he was mostly ok and so was front seat passenger, but back seat passenger wasn't wearing his seatbelt (idiot!) and ended up with a few minor injuries, they were all going to Bulgaria on holiday a few days later, luckily they made it (thats where I met OH!!)
The backseat passenger made a claim, and said he was wearing his seatbelt, still ongoing but luckily OHs lawyer thinks the evidence is enough for it to be throw out, but OH has still lost out because his insurance went up absolutely loads! I assume your son isn't claiming (with the size of the bill) which is probably best, annoying thing is OH didn't claim for the car, it was just his lieing "friend" that caused it to go up!! xx'Patience is a virtue till we die. Then a ripple in the water caught my eye'Mrs Jason Orange.Getting organized and thrifty for christmas 2010!0 -
:DWell done everyone on your "making of the money", I think that no matter how much extra you make its a bonus, because its more than you had before:T:T:T
Well done all of you, round of applause:T:T
I put DS `s scooter on ebay, was quite happy its met the reserve and gone over and has a few days to go so thats a positive:j
On friday, i went shopping and when I looked down there was £5 on the floor of the car park, I was so pleased, not a soul in site, I was feeling so positive, got a few bargains with it for my christmas hampers, was pleased.:D:D
Then DD dropped her phone it was broke, at the same DS phoned ( her twin brother) he passed his test thursday :T but within 24 hours he`d crashed his car and and I just got the quote to repair it using 2nd hand parts £1000.00,:eek::eek::eek: So much for finding a £5
So I think thats just about wiped out anything I`ve made this year.....and more:(:(
Never mind, things can only get better....
Hope ds ok, has he done much damage to the car, so guess its a new fund, the car fund. xx
U take care, xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Forgot to say won £10 Love to shop voucher 2day, postal draw, so when that comes that going in the xmas fund, xxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0

Thank you all for kind words, you all cheer me up. I come on here for my daily fix
Mum 2 one, son ok, he stopped behind car at roundabout, car pulled off and stalled, son drove into back of it.....cant believe the damage, bonnet, wing, bumper fell off, radiator broke, wheel arches come off, and some how the front passenger window fell out...:( but everything ok. Only prob if we go through insurance it will go up £3500:eek::eek:.
So be cheaper to fix it.
I too am having trouble getting motivated, all this nice weather, but been on doohoo the last couple of days, try to make effort there.
Rufusdog, elysia, I emailed shopping.com to and they replied could they have copies from doohoo and shopping????I emailed them back and asked them for copies of the ones they deleted, so dont hold out much hope there....lol :rotfl::rotfl:
I been on toluna a bit as well but everytime i get a survey they take about 10 minutes of questions then screen me out :mad: do you get this???
your all doing so well at the money making, and I will try harder, with DD deciding to move to Wales, when we pack her things up I`m hoping to sort some things for ebay that she doesnt want, she cant possibly take all her clothes....we`d need a truck.and DS already decided he moving in her room.;)
We will really have to put our heads together and come up with some challenges....perhaps I can get enough stuff for a car boot sale, I hate going though because they all storm the car and I like to unpack in my time...:cool:Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
Hi all, thanks for the tips about the car boot, think I will take all our electrical stuff there. Will take the phone too (it's an old house phone not a mobile so can't send it off to one of those companies). Not doing it yet though as still need to go through all our wardrobes to clear them out, so might as well do that first - goodness knows when!!!
Susan, sorry to hear about the car, it's always the way isn't it, just when you think you're doing well! Nevermind (my turn to encourage now;)), you're in a better position than if you hadn't done all this moneymaking and the accident had happened. Glad your son's OK though, that's the main thing.
Right, off to do a bit of one of my other 'jobs' now (feel like I have about 4 jobs but only one of them pays!!!!) - act as unpaid PA to my musician husband and some work to do there.
Have a good day everyone, the sun is shining here so hopefully a nice happy, lucky day:j0 -
Morning all
Managed to do a Dooyoo review yesterday, first one in ages. Did all the daily clicks this morning and a couple of surveys.
Cant do any sewing today as OH is asleep as he worked last night. Might not get any done till the end of the week or even next week as hes got some more nights to do.
Have some knitting to get on with though, someone asked me to make some dolls clothes for them and going to pay me for doing them. Only trouble is they bought the wool and patterns but didnt buy the right wool for all the patterns, they bought DK wool and most of the patterns they gave me are for 4 ply. Have made a start on some that are DK but they are a bit boring to make so is quite an effort to pick it up and do some more. Still might so some this afternoon if I feel like it.
Off up town later with eldest daughter so might pop in library and see if they know where to get info on craft fairs or the like.0 -
