I need to get some Dooyoo stuff done - just feeling a bit rough right now, so it can wait!

All family gifts sorted until early July now - just not sure about friends, no one ever knows what they want!

You try when you're up to it JaneLiz. You're way ahead anyway.

Have nephew's birthday March and Dad's. No idea what to get though. Have got Mother's Day sorted. Easter sorted. DD1 and OH birthday April they are both nearly done. No-one May so I'm OK for birthdays until June now.

Have received a Love2shop voucher in post today for survey they stopped me in the street for.

I don't know what happened on Toluna yesterday but I had some whoppers of surveys and gained over 20,000 points in one day. I am on 63,000 now. So a long way to go still.

That's a good idea Pammy re: making £30. What would you do? Buy something cheap, sell it on ebay for more. Then keep going that until you've got £30. Is that the way it works? Sorry, Kids drove me mad all day and I can't think straight.

Let's see, I need around 5000 more points on Dooyoo and have (hand) written three reviews over the last week, so I'll get those typed up though I did manage to write one midweek, I typed up a recipe of my Dad's favourite cake, though I feel cheeky doing recipes sometimes-anyone think that they are a bit of a cheeky way to notch up points? I've completely lost count of how much money I've saved from not buying/saving money, but will check in my tub at the end of the month.

As for my mini challenge I worked overtime last week and got an extra £10. So that's £21, so need to make some more to reach my target there. I'm not sure how much I'll get done over the weekend as my boyfriends parents are coming over from Cyprus as it's his Mum's 70th birthday and I have promised to do some baking for the party on Sunday. So far I'm thinking biscuits/cookies and either a lemon drizzle cake or a spiced orange cake. I want to make a third thing as well but not sure what as it needs to be easily transportable.

Well done Toonie - Don't worry about doing recipes I think most of us have done one. You don't get the 500 for posting it though, but you will get some points when someone reads - not a lot but they mount up don't they!

Have a lovely time Toonie and don't work too hard baking all those goodies. Yum!

They do indeed mount up. I have almost as many points from reads on it as I would have if I'd written a review. I do love baking and have lots of my own recipes so it's nice to be able to share them. I think I've decided to do cherry and dark chocolate cookies as I have all the ingredients for those.

Yes thats what I mean, so say you buy a gorgeous dress for a toddler in a charity shop for an amazing 50p and then sell it on ebay for £3 less fees x 15 items should be able to do it that way for example.

Thanks Pammy - that's a brilliant idea. Sounds Good to me. :j

It's different from ordinary ebaying - and I haven't a lot left to sell anyway. :rotfl:

  • Happy birthday!!!

Money-saving FAIL today :( I went through dvds and games last weekend. checked CEX trading site and musicmagpie to see which ones paid more on which site. Split my findings, one made me £11, the other half gave me another £5... and sent them off....HOWEVER the music magpie was free postage whereas CEX was £5.15!!! so add that to the £3 bus fare and ive pretty much paid someone £3.15 to HAVE my dvds!!! lol

DOH! wont be doing that again in a hurry. I should have sent them all off to musicmagpie but that would have meant 2 buses home and back to re-pack them and send them so i thought i may as well ha ha

    What a shame Soph!

It's a bit hit and miss like ebay then? You're not guaranteed anything really.

Ahh better luck next time. (hugs)

  • everyone is doing so well!
Elysia I had tonnes of emails off of toluna yesterday too, but I'v given up on toluna now, I've got £30 love to shop outstanding from them so will wait till I get them then cancel, it seems to take too long, and it stresses me out how little you get per survey!
Can this count as money saving? I bought a bottle of vodka a few weeks ago, but it had a really strange taste and had like an oily residue on top. I complained and they sent me a replacement bottle. then today I had a delivery and had no idea what it was, turns out it was another 2 bottles of vodka!! Wow, how good is that?! I would have bought vodka over the next few weeks so can this class as money saving??! xx
