Got a nice suprise this morning cheque for £30 from my car insurance company, as a loyalty bonus for staying with them, only changed in Dec and pd in full......but never one to turn down free money. (got to add that to Febs money).
Took dd shopping, the plan was to get swimwear, went into Peacocks hit the sale rale, 2 big bags clothes - skirts reduced from £6 to £1, the dearest thing was 2 prs of crop leggings £6.00. Altogether spent £33........ the savings from original price was £50..... (not generous enough to put £50 in the pot!!)

just been mooching on hukd and come across a site ive never heard of greenmetropolis.com its a book site where all books are £3.75 or less but you can also sell books on there where you can get £3.00 per book + postage premium if their hardback etc you sell but you pay 2nd class postage on books well it works out on an average book you could be making nearly 2 pound a book meanwhile your decluttering im going to definetely look into it as i only ever give the books away and the pennies could be topping up xmas fund plus i know a nifty little charity shop that sells all their books for 50p and are as new hope it could be of interest to the readers in the bunch xmay groc challenge £167/£280...0

I was going to send off my phone, but none of the amounts I was being offered were very inspiring so I decided to risk it on ebay instead. Listed at 2pm on Sat, within 2 hours it had sold buy it now £50. I am well chuffed as made my monthly target in one hit. Had quite a lot of sales this month and have used the money to pay off the balance of our Sun holiday!
Got lots of items still to list and hope to take advantage of the free listing day tomorrow if the kids will let me!
Haven't done any Christmas shopping for a while, need to build up the funds again, got my brother's birthday on Friday and have given him cash (which I won at bingo) and some aftershave rrp £45 which I won in a silent auction for £15 so quite mse and he will think I've spoiled him. Hopefully he will return the favour on my birthday (11 days and counting to 35:eek:)Motto: You gotta be in it to win it!:j
2015 Objective - Pay off credit cards/Overpay mortgage
2015 Wins: Nothing yet, but keeping trying :T0 -
you doing well on doohoo elysia wish I was as focused
Thanks Susan, I'm really trying. Have got to put the christmas money I borrowed back.
Well done with those bargains Mum2one - we have a Peacocks by us, I'm off for a look tomorrow.
Still need to recycle my ink cartridges - will look into that too. Trouble is if I recycle them through Tesco's the money doesn't go towards Christmas, it goes towards vouchers for day trips while we're on holiday - oh well, still a special occasion I suppose.
Need to list on ebay (didn't get around to it) but will wait until the free listing day is over now.
Managing Dooyoo - but I'll have one of those kicks up the bum if anyone's got one going spare, I can't seem to get myself into gear at the moment.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!
