I've always asked for one and got one no problems. I've not tried to submit a report without one, so i'm unsure whether React will accept it without or not.

I'm also confused by the pixies/elves/red dwarf thing. I've got a store type in my head, but I can't for the life of me think of a national chain that does that sort of thing.

They will be OK with no receipt. Make sure you buy the right size. Prices do differ from branch to branch. You need to make sure you get a good description (plus, of course, name), note exact time and till point. Also, hover a bit and see what happens with receipt/money. Use all this in your explanation for no receipt. This chain captures (and often identifies) its MSers on CCTV! If they suspect you, you might get a bit of a floor show. But, you might get barred from that site if identified!

Hi, hope I have asked this in the right "place"?

Does anyone know how to get invited/involved in focus groups or group discussions on products/service etc. Many years ago a friend did this type of thing and earned some extra money and also received free products to try out. I note that the mystery shopping companies do not do these or cannot find these activities located.

Try Focus Force, Focus4People & Saros for focus groups.

Pinecone Research do research on new products, so apply to them, though they may not be recruiting at the moment.
There are others but I can't think at the moment - just in the middle of doing my roast dinner, so will look later & get back to you!!

Any company asking for a fee is a scam. Look on the first post of this thread for a list of good companies.

Hi, many thanks for names, is there a link somewhere on here or a link to information on focus group type work or should I just google them?
