  • All very odd with GAP. The website says the 24th is payday, not the 27th yet I'm sure when I registered (only about 3 months ago) that it was the 20th or the 22nd. I'd have thought that they were obliged to tell us if they plan to change the payday but I've not had any emails about this from them.

The 2 companies mentioned above tend to have the lowest rates and often are a right pain when there are issues. However they are easy to pick up work from as they are self allocation, so can be good for new starters.

Personally I prefer ESA and Gfk but there are ups and downs with all companies. I suggest signing up for a few and seeing how you get on with them.

Oh, I forgot to tell you guys, I had my first burger drive through show at the weekend. It was like I was the attraction at the zoo!! Placed my order, moved forward but was waiting behind another car and then 3(!) MOS came to look at me through the second booth. That was on top of the MOS serving at the second booth. It was so obvious I couldn't help but laugh.

maybe if they spent less time looking at cctv footage to identify mystery shoppers and spent more time on customer service they wouldn't need to spend so much time looking at cctv footage to identify........ etc etc ;)
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

  • thanks for all the help. Have recently registered with gap and retail eyes. Have been working for esa, gfk and gr for 3 months. I always get the esa ones (may be little m shoppers in my area) but only had one job with gfk. never anything there!!!!!!!

Got my first GAP job but may have some trouble with that. after booking it my postcode does not appear in the delievery bit, have emailed to ask if i can still do it as i'm only 2 miles away. seems odd.

Just making sure none have shut down and run. I suppose it's because i'm used to the world of cashback and daily click. Many sites simply uped and left leaving people with payments pending they never recieved. As a community wer're all pretty good at telling each other what to avoide.
I get what i want. That isn't because i'm a brat or spoilt. It's because i'm determined, i work hard for it and i achieve my goals!
  • I recently asked if anybody could reccomend companies to be very politly told to 'sort it out myself' as the first few posts give enough info away (which i now understand as i suppose every shopper is in competition) but, i shall try another way around.

Are there any companies that i should very much avoid? i've been doing as advised and reading the past threads (going to take some time though)and i notice that in every new thread set up the companies profiled differ. Some remain constant but some are reccomended earlier an then not in the later threads. is there a reason? e.g. You have all stopped using them because they are soooooooooooo bad.

I think if everybody gave you the name of a company to avoid then you'd have no companies to choose from, as some folks seem to like some companies better than others & some other folks get better treatment than others. I several years ago worked only for G+p & considered them to be good then:eek::eek::eek::eek: I eventually stopped shopping for them as the 'golden arches' wished them to id me after a horrible & nasty experience & I felt very badly LET DOWN by G*P:eek: So I withdrew my services & have gone onto other companies along the way.
    Hope that helps
  • whats 'golden arches'???

I understand what you mean. I think i have joined 8 so far, so shall be setting myself a target of 2 a week. I'm also looking at this whole tax thing. I started in September (only done 10 jobs) but think it's a wise idea before i totally loose track, that way i have nearly a year to sort myself out tax wise lol

    Hello Carina

It's funny to think of MS happening all over the world! Hope you enjoy the forum.
  • Ok, i promise that i will not ask a single question tomorrow after all mine today.

I have very neatly created a spreasheet for the tax business but need to know.

When you enter the millage, does this have to be from your home address (sometimes i travel from work) and will they require proof that you did travel this many miles to the job?

And should i be keeping petrol and parking reciepts?
