Only thing I'd check is that on the store locator your local store has a "home delivery" sign under it.

I've just checked and my nearest store does do home delivery. As does the second nearest, the 4th, the 6th and then the 8th which is where the shopping is coming from.

It's bizarre as the store it's coming from is in a different county and a different post code area and it's either a right pig of a journey on minor back roads to get here, or a long out of the way journey if you go by A-roads.

Help! I have a local store for TNS to do. Ive just gone to check the shopping list and it has clothing, dvds, cds and an electrical appliance on the list and i KNOW my local does not stock those sorts of things? Am I looking at the big stores shopping list by accident?

It's just a generic brief and questionnaire for all stores. The front page with your store name and address on should show the departments you have to check.

If you do find any department are not there when you get to store, there's space at the end of the questionnaire to explain.
Here I go again on my own....
  • I've not done one of the supermarket delivery jobs so I may be totally wrong, but normally when I shop at my local one they print the address on the receipt, so would it not be the same for the delivery? I'm not sure if you'd get away with 8th furthest away without telling them first?

Yeh I'm sure once it's arrived I'll know where it's come from, but that doesn't help when you've already done most the hard work and had to pay out for it haha. The notes specifically say that the delivery will come from your local store, but this clearly isn't the case.

if its the same supermarket as showing for normal shops you dont need to worry. i used to have deliveries reguarly from mine. we had a nightmare shop and had to wait 35 hours for some goods once :mad::mad: and in that situation discovered that our goods come from over 18 miles away. the paperwork they leave with you when they deliver does not state which store it will have come from as only certain stores cover the home delivery so it will not be an issue.

It's not my fault it came from there though.

The notes said it would come from my local store, and I phoned to double check it would be my local store as the nearest is 3 miles, but there's one in the opposite direction about 5 miles away, so I wanted to check it wasn't coming from there before I ordered.

I've done all the hard work ordering and paying for it under the impression it was coming from my local store and I've done my phone call bit. I'll be annoyed if they say I'm not getting paid when it's the client who has decided my order is coming from the 8th nearest store.

The questionnaire asks me to imput a ST number which is the store ID number, so they will know which store it came from.

thanks i was seeing the wrong details completely as the mac was over riding the local store details with the big store details - dont know why. saved them in a different area and now i can see what i am supposed to look for and no electricals or clothes needed now!

You wont have done anything wrong as I've had issues with them non mystery shopping and what they tell you before hand is (in my case) never accurate as I thought mine was coming from a mile away and it wasn't at all. So where do they expect you to get the store ID number from as it wont appear on the paperwork they leave with you as mine never has anything like that on it?

I dont think that will be the case as this client delivers in this random way on a daily basis and there is nothing you can do about it as you place an order thinking it will come from somewhere and then they change it.

Ignore that bit - it's my misunderstanding :o

The questionnaire asks for store ID numbers but the brief says I have to answer N/A to them questions :o

I wouldn't worry about this Becles. RE has asked you to take the job for your local store and check it makes deliveries. That's what you've done. It's RE that are assuming that the delivery will come from there. The supermarket might have there own routes from different shops on different days. There's no way for you to know that and it's not your problem anyway.

    You've done as RE asked.

I assume my delivery was from my local store but I don't know.
