Clamper Neutralised

Yesterday, someone put a hand written sign on the back of a vehicle legally parked, saying simply " Clamping Today" At last a decent sign
Clamper who travels to the location for the day was unhappy, called police who could not help. He went home early, no extortion that day.
This is a way local people can protect their area in a situation where the clamper is lying in wait.
I do wonder if you could place something over vehicle wheels that would inhibit access without causing criminal damage to the protection, thus thwarting the clamper
Eventually clamping will go the same way as smoking in buildings. Until then put up a warning sign.

In all fairness, while clamping can at times be annoying, so can somebody parking illegally and blocking access for others.
I personally feel that if you are going to park illegally, you should come to expect parking tickets/clamping.0 -

Yes, get your own clamp.
You laugh, but there was a regular in our local boozer who worked for the local authorities parking department.
He'd regularly carry a bag of "tickets" in his car. Whenever he went shopping in town, he'd slap the "ticket" on the car and lo and behold, every traffic vulture in the city who comes across him thinks that he's already been booked.
Oh how we laughed when he got caught ticketing himself on the council's CCTV.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
