Hi all - just to ask some advice from you guys
I subscribed to an overseas music web site via my Mastercard @ £16 per month, no problems for the past 3 months. The site was secure server when entering card details. Today I got a call from Abbey saying on 6 Dec £89 had been taken out and today £530 had been taken out by this website.
Speaking to the girl in Visa disputes she gave me the impression because I had provided my details online I would have to pay.
Any comments please????

Regardless of anything the woman said at the Abbey, you're still at liberty to dispute a transaction on your credit card, especially as in this case you're not disputing the £16 a month debits.
Try and find anything that refers to the agreement you have with this music company as there might be something hidden in the small print that you didn't spot. Also email the company and ask them what they're playing at.
Write to the Abbey and ask for the transactions to be put into their "formal disputes process" and request the relevant forms. Also add that you dispute any and all charges to this merchant that are not the £16 a month membership.
I would also suggest getting another card from them too.
Hope this helps.0 -
Are you sure you have not got a virus or something on your computer and your system hacked?
Speak to the company and find out why they are charging you this first.0
