Recently I was suspended from Ebay, a long story, but it turns out, that a pc that I purchased (from a friend) had been used by an Ebay user before me. The Ebay user had (using a new pc) threatened another user and as such I was struck off by association.
I am now back on and the matter is sorted. But, I want to give the pc to my brother. I want to make sure that MY Ebay connection (if thats what its called) is removed, so that he can use Ebay, but that if he does something he shouldn't that the same thing doesn't happen to me again.
I want to keep some of the software on the old pc (for him) as I don't have the disc any longer, so am not sure what action I can take that won't remove it forever.
Is it just a huge cookie that Ebay have, as I did go on Livechat and ask and they could tell I wasn't on my own pc

In a manner of speaking.
The quickest method is to just login to ebay, and make sure any previous user is logged off.
You can use CCleaner as mentioned above, or just use the browser's own settings & delete all temp internet files, history, saved logins etc0 -
Makes no sense to me.
Using your PC you would have logged in with your own info unless you auto logged on using the other blokes account (which ccleaner would clear out)
If you auto logged on with the other blokes account.... how does this affect your account.
I can only assume you logged in with the other blokes account (so they knew the ip address), then logged in with your own account (with the same ip address), so when the guy abused someone, your account was flagged as well.
Not sure if I have made that clear.0
