More PC crazyness.

It now seems that with snow everywhere we can't build snowmen, only a snow person or snow people.

There was a piece about it on the radio this morning and from watching bits of television this morning a couple of programmes have been saying things like "Send us your pictures of your snow people".

It's political correctness gone even more bonkers than ever before.

Maybe if you put another carrot on it further down, perhaps accompanied by a couple of plums, you can call it a snowman?

Only kidding but I know what you mean, I had to laugh the other day when I picked my kids up from nursery and one of the ladies asked my youngest to 'show mummy the snowperson that you made'

I'm not very good at succinct. Why say something in 10 words when 100 will do?

Political correctness is goign over the top, as is health and saftey.

Life isn't bubble wrapped so why should we be treated like it, there are plenty of ideals we adhere too and we should do them on a case by case basis as a society. Many people inheritantly know what is right and wrong.

There are two ways of constructing a software design: One way is to make it so simple that there are obviously no deficiencies, and the other way is to make it so complicated that there are no obvious deficiencies

Where does it actually say that you cannot build a snowman?

This sounds just like those "health and safety" stories which have no basis in fact. The H&S Executive are so sick and tired of these non-stories that they have a special section on their website entitled "myth of the month".

Don't believe those stories you read in the papers, especially those in the Mail and Express and most importantly from Richard Little[STRIKE]!!!!!![/STRIKE]john
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

off topic - H&S crazyness. Is you can't use ladders and must your scaffolding. For some jobs this is totally reasonable, some a slight nusience, but some are just plane stupid. If you can't reach by hand a lightbulb should be replaced by use of scaffolding. No joke, at cadburys they have to sometimes build over the machines some scaffolding to replace 1 lamp. And technically window cleaners should not use ladders but they still do.
