refurbished iphone?

Some one at O2 is trying to offer me a good deal with a refurbished iphone 3GS. I have no idea what refurbished entails!

I am still on the phone so if anyone can tell me if this is good or bad or completely avoid refurbs please let me know! :A

referbs are previously used and faulty goods that have been repaired. They can be as good as new in the fact the broken parts are more likely replaced than repaired.

Sometimes they just returned good sthat haven't been used or even goods that have damaged boxes. Depends on the company.

Refurb can also mean returned under 14 day (or whatever) cooling off period due to any reason you care to name which are then cleaned both soft- and hardware and sold as refurbs. I wouldn't mind having a refurb as long as I knew this and got a decent deal on it.
